Arthur Melo is a Brazilian professional soccer player who first shone, as a midfielder, with Brazilian club Grêmio with whom he won the Copa do Brasil in 2016, the Copa Libertadores in 2017, and the Campeonato Gaúcho (top-tier league in the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul) in 2018. His remarkable performances, at such a young age, soon drew attention from European clubs and he was signed up by Spanish giant FC Barcelona in 2018 and with them won the 2018-19 La Liga title. At the international level, Arthur had represented Brazil at the Under-17 level and with the senior national team, he was part of the squad that clinched the 2019 Copa América.
