General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal Kirsten Storms has broken her social media silence and posted a hot new pic on Instagram. Does this mean we’ll soon have Maxie Jones back on GH and reconciled with new hubby Nathan West (Ryan Paevey)?
Kirsten has had trouble with her skin, hair, and weight in recent months but this new Instagram photo shows her looking gorgeous and healthy. It could be that her time off has completely rejuvenated Kirsten and she’s going to come back to General Hospital strong.
This was Kirsten’s third break from General Hospital. She took one for endometriosis and then again last year for skin problems. Kirsten claimed stress was taking a toll on her skin and it was no surprise when she was fresh off her split from husband Brandon Barash (GH’s Johnny Zacchara).
Even though Kirsten took a hiatus from social media, Brandon has been posting daily photos and videos of himself with the couple’s daughter Harper Rose Barash. It seems that Brandon has had Harper with him constantly and they even announced they were heading to Boston together.
Whatever Kirsten has been doing on her extended break from General Hospital, it appears that Brandon has been doing the heavy lifting by taking care of their daughter Harper while Kirsten takes a much needed rest.
The latest photo Kirsten shared has her saying “What’s up?” and hashtagging it #morning. Her skin looks great, her face looks fuller and she looks much healthier than when we last saw her on GH after her surprise wedding to Nathan.
The last time Kirsten Storms took off of General Hospital, Molly Burnett filled in for her. But this time, the network announced they would not recast the role. Instead, Nathan announced that Maxie took a temporary job in Portland, Oregon.
The explanation was that she needed work after her firing from Crimson thanks to Nina Clay Cassadine (Michelle Stafford) and this was a not miss opportunity that allowed her to work and be close to her daughter Georgie with Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson).
Kirsten has still not made any statement regarding her prolonged absence from General Hospital and the tweet and Instagram pic today are the first anyone has heard from Storms on social media in nearly two months.
This could be a good sign and may indicate that Storms will be back to General Hospital and Maxie back to Port Charles faster than the three months ABC announced. The last time Kirsten took a break from GH, during the Molly Burnett recast, she also returned faster than expected.
Given Emme Rylan’s upcoming maternity leave since her baby is due in June, it will be interesting to see if Lulu Spencer and her BFF Maxie get any screen time together. It seems a big lull in the plot that when Lulu desperately needs a friend, Maxie is nowhere to be found.
